Imangi Studios is looking for an experienced ASO Expert to help us scale visibility, conversion, and installs across the App Store and Google Play. If you’re a detail-oriented ASO specialist who understands the nuances of storefront performance, mobile marketing copy, and metadata experimentation, this is your chance to make a measurable impact. Please outline examples of apps you’ve worked on and test results you’ve driven in your application. We’re excited to see what you can bring to our storefronts
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute ASO strategy for iOS and Android titles across our portfolio.
- Plan, launch, and iterate metadata and creative experiments in App Store Connect and Google Play Console, with a focus on increasing organic discoverability and install conversion rates from paid and unpaid sources.
- Write high-performing app titles, subtitles, descriptions, and promotional text in alignment with both brand voice and best-in-class competitive benchmarks.
- Perform competitor and keyword research using ASO tools (e.g., AppFigures, AppTweak, Sensor Tower, MobileAction, data.ai).
- Track, analyze, and report on test performance, summarize findings, and recommend next steps.
- Collaborate with an internal marketing point of contact to source visual assets (e.g., icons, screenshots, preview videos) for experiments.
- Stay up-to-date on platform changes, new testing capabilities, and emerging ASO trends in mobile gaming.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on ASO experience, specifically managing iOS and Android listings for mobile games.
- Proficiency with App Store Connect and Google Play Console, including A/B testing frameworks like Product Page Optimization and Store Listing Experiments.
- Demonstrated ability to write compelling marketing copy that balances SEO, clarity, and brand tone.
- Strong understanding of mobile game audiences, funnel conversion, and what drives players to install.
- Experience with ASO tools (AppTweak, MobileAction, etc.) and demonstrated expertise interpreting data to guide strategy.
- Self-directed and results-driven — able to manage your own roadmap and deliver high-quality experiments consistently.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in summarizing insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with localization strategy and international ASO, and its prioritization.
- Experience testing assets for games with different genres or target audiences.
- Understanding of the broader UA and performance marketing ecosystem and its relation to ASO
